2021 Walk to School Day

This October, Henderson Mill Elementary will celebrate iWalk – or International Walk to School. This initiative first began in 1997, to encourage active travel to school and around the community. Physical activity promotes wellness and is good for the environment. HMES will join students from ALL OVER THE WORLD to take part in walking, running or biking in their community. Everyone is welcome to participate!
UPDATE: HMES “Walk to School Day” has been rescheduled to October 13th. Come say hi before school that morning (till 7:35am) at the picnic benches left side of the school) for a little prize. Durante Octubre, Henderson Mill Elementary celebrará la semana iWalk, o Internacional de Caminata a la Escuela. Esta iniciativa comenzó en 1997, para fomentar los viajes activos a la escuela y alrededor de la comunidad. La actividad física promueve el bienestar y es buena para el medio ambiente. HMES se unirá a estudiantes de TODO EL MUNDO para participar en caminatas, correr o andar en bicicleta en su comunidad. ¡Todos son bienvenidos a participar!
ACTUALIZACIÓN: HMES “Walk to School Day” ha sido reprogramado para el 13 de Octubre. Venga a saludar antes de la escuela esa mañana (hasta las 7:35 am) en los bancos de picnic al lado izquierdo de la escuela) por un pequeño premio. ¿Ese día no funciona para ti?
