Welcome to Week 5!!  

We have finally settled in and now preparing for our 4.5 week progress report.  As a reminder, students are expected to complete and submit assignments on the given due date.  Students with missing assignments will receive a 0 if the assignment is not turned in within 3 days.  Points will be deducted from late assignments.  Please assist students with keeping track of due assignments in their Henderson Mill Planners.  Planners are still available for $5.00. (Kindergarten students do not receive grades.)

We continue to encourage independent learning and self-confidence so as parents, continue to encourage and support your child however, we want to promote independence as much as possible.  Students must complete assignments with minimal parental guidance.  Parents should not complete assignments for students.  With that in mind, we expect students to do their part as it appropriate for their age.  Struggling is allowed and encouraged as we move forward in the school year.

Connections 

The “Connection” teachers are having a difficult time identifying students in their Google Classrooms because parents have joined classes.  Google Classrooms should only have Henderson Mill students listed with their first and last names, no nicknames or initials.  Teachers are unable to identify students and can not assign grades to students, so we are asking parents to remove themselves from the Art, Music, STEM and PE classes Google Classrooms.

Parents who want to see their child’s assignments can see the list easily if they click ” To-Do.” in their child’s Google Classroom.
