Dr. Regina Blanton

Welcome!

Welcome to another amazing year of teaching and learning at the most sought-after DeKalb County Elementary School, Henderson Mill Elementary School!

I am elated to serve and support Henderson Mill Elementary as the Assistant Principals specifically supporting the dynamic principal, Mrs. Moore, and my Superlative Colleagues. This school year, I desire a partnership with each of you. As a seasoned educator, I share the belief that administrators, teachers, parents, the community, and school staff all share imperative roles in providing academic growth to all learners by creating a collaborating learning community. I began my educational career as a PreK Teacher in 2000, I have successfully taught 1st grade through 5th grade, Gifted, and ESOL. My leadership experience includes being an Instructional Coach, IB Liaison, and Assistant Principal.

One of my roles as the Assistant Principal, is to ensure that the rigorous academic needs of every learner at Henderson Mill Elementary are being met. My primary instructional focus is STUDENT CENTERED. Your input and participation are vital to have each Henderson Hawk to meet their highest academic potentials in order to contribute to the diverse society that we live in. Every Henderson Hawk will be afforded equal learning opportunities that are meaningful experiences to enhance their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and citizenship! I eagerly join the entire Henderson Mill Elementary Staff serving as a “total learning community” in supporting the vision to be a world-class, diverse STEAM school of globally minded, creative, and highly motivated students this school year.

Educationally Yours,

Dr. Regina Smiley Blanton
